Two New Libraries In Burlington

Burlington Public Libraries – Opening of two new locations  August 1  2013

As the Council representative on the Burlington Public Library Board, I assisted with the expansion of two libraries, one in Aldershot and one at the Haber Recreation Center.  Both are wonderful facilities which will serve our community well.

Our Board of Directors is committed to improving service at our Libraries and to keeping up with times.

Technology is now a big part of what we do and these state of the Art facilities have many services and features to serve you.

If you haven’t been to a library in a while, I’d say it’s worth the visit just to see all the services they offer.  Check out this video made by our own Hayden Students https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZ5AI6u5iiE

The Burlington Public Library branch in Alton will combine with the school board’s library to create a 12,273 square foot (1,140 square metre) joint integrated library that serves both students and the community. The library’s design provides for multi-generational use and includes flexible space that will take full advantage of new and emerging information technology.

Library features:

  • 12,273 square-foot (1,140 square meters) joint integrated library that serve students and the community.
  • The library’s design provides for multi-generational use and includes flexible space that will take full advantage of new and emerging information technology.
