Love My Hood Ward 6

Love My Hood replaces our very successful Car Free Street Festival.  The intention of this month long event is about building community and bringing people together to support one another.

Together with Ward 6 residents and businesses we will cooperatively promote active healthy lifestyles, in our sustainable, safe, vibrant, and inclusive Ward Six.

The Love My Hood Ward 6 festival will consist of a number of community led activities culminating in a Festival celebration taking place on June 25, 2016.  Palladium Way will come alive with exciting family activities in a street festival format while we celebrate with our neighbours and friends.

There are two components in the Love my Hood Event, the first during the month of June we will be holding a number of events designed to support our community, as volunteers will complete good deeds such as: tree plantings, assistance for deserving families, gardening, clothing and food drives, and fundraising for the Heart & Stroke (Big Bike), to name a few.

The Street festival on June 25th will celebrate this service to the community with a fun filled day including bouncy castles, pony rides, festival food, face painting, games, a bike rodeo and other activities. Many community organizations have stepped up to volunteer and organize this event.
